Partonic energy loss in hot nuclear matter is thought to contribute to jet suppression at RHIC and the LHC. Understanding this interaction is critical in order to properly interpret relativistic heavy ion collisions. The Fermilab E-906/SeaQuest experiment will investigate the antiquark distributions of the nucleon and nuclei as well as measure relative Drell-Yan cross sections of different targets. These data will also provide SeaQuest with an excellent opportunity to measure partonic energy loss in cold nuclear matter using p+A collisions. SeaQuest will use a 120 GeV proton beam from the Fermilab Main Injector on various nuclear targets. The spectrometer is currently being installed at Fermilab and expects to take data beginning in fall 2010. In this talk I will discuss how we will measure partonic energy loss in cold nuclear matter with the SeaQuest experiment.
