Abstract:
The ASDQ is a bipolar ASIC designed by Mitch Newcomer et al. (U.Penn.) for use with the Central Outer Tracker (COT) built for CDF (Run II). It was fabricated by Maxim using the (ex-Tektronix) SHpi process. Each chip has 8 channels of Amplifier, Shaper (with baseline restoration), & Discriminator. Charge (Q) can be encoded into the output pulse length.
